In this tutorial, you will see how to open the remote for the Smart ForTwo 451, which is necessary if you need to replace the battery or the outer casing. You will only need a small flathead screwdriver and the replacement part if required. To open the remote, insert the tip of the screwdriver into the slot at the top of the ring, lever it open, and separate the two halves. Once done, proceed to remove the component that needs replacing. If you are replacing the battery, you will need a CR2016 3V replacement.
