To determine if it is necessary to replace the clutch actuator on a Smart Fortwo 451, perform a check on the vehicle. Open the bonnet and remove the actuator by unscrewing the three screws present in the structure. Be careful not to touch or apply grease inside the hole in the clutch. At this point, rotate the moving part of the actuator to check if it can move in all directions. If the movement is not smooth in even one direction, replace it with a new one, reinstalling it in the designated space. Then reinsert the bolts, lubricating them with grease to facilitate insertion.
