In this video tutorial, you can see how to replace the air filter on a Smart 450 by following a few simple steps. The first thing you need to do is purchase a new air filter; the next step is to get into the vehicle, turn off the engine, and pull the handbrake. Lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop. Now, remove the insulating cover; the air filter is located on the left side of the engine bay. Remove the 4 clips found in the filter box, take off the airbox cover, remove the old filter, clean the filter housing with a clean cloth, position the new air filter, and reassemble all parts in reverse order.
