Installing a storage armrest on the Smart 450/451

Let’s see how to easily install an armrest on a Smart 450/451 without making any holes. You can find it on Amazon for £46.99 (including delivery costs) or similar. However, it is advisable to choose an armrest that has an open underside for the mounting system, as you simply clip it onto the handbrake, then push it towards the end of the handbrake lever until it is past the lever, so it does not interfere when in use. This way, the armrest will be securely fixed and will not obstruct its use. There are also cheaper armrests that have a solid lower part, which cannot be used for this type of mounting over the handbrake.
