How to replace the timing belt on the Smart ForTwo?

To replace the timing belt on the Smart ForTwo, access the lower part of the engine bay, which is located at the rear of the vehicle. Once you locate the crankshaft pulley, loosen the central nut to remove it and reduce the tension on the belt. The old belt can now be removed from its housing, and the new replacement part can be inserted. Re-tension the new belt by refitting the crankshaft pulley, ensuring everything is functioning correctly.
