Dismantling the external rear-view mirror is very simple; start by fully opening the door to access the mirror's housing; unscrew the fixing screw of the triangular plastic cover around the mirror adjustment lever and press it upwards to detach and move it away enough to unclip it from the adjustment lever's pin; then unscrew the other four screws underneath to remove the mirror's support plate and finally, while supporting the mirror, unscrew the last fixing screw located in the centre.
