In order to replace the rear brake pads of the Smart Roadster, you need to lift the car with a jack or a lift so that the corresponding wheel is not in contact with the ground. Once the wheel is lifted, you will need to unscrew the bolts that secure it to its hub, remove it, and access the components in its rear part. After the wheel is removed, you will need to remove the drum and access the underlying brake pads: these will need to be removed from their housing by unscrewing the fixing bolts and freeing them from the corresponding spring.
