How to Reset the Service Light on a Smart Forfour?

To reset the Service light on a Smart Forfour, press and hold the button located at the top left of the instrument panel: keep it pressed while the panel is off. While continuing to hold this button, insert the ignition key into the lock and turn it to switch on the instrument panel: once it is on, wait for the light to reset. At this point, you can release the button and then turn off the instrument panel, checking that the reset has occurred correctly.
