The procedure to disable traction control on a Smart can be done by accessing the vehicle's fuse box, located immediately behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. Once the glove compartment is removed, locate the fuse that controls the traction control system: removing this fuse will deactivate the traction control, as indicated by the light that will appear on the instrument panel.

To reactivate it, simply reinsert the fuse.
