To correctly and safely change the engine air filter on your Smart Fortwo, follow these steps. First, turn off the vehicle and then go outside and fully lift the rear bonnet.

Once done, remove the engine protection cover and locate the air filter box on the left side of the engine compartment. Next, remove the cover of the box using a flat screwdriver and finally, replace the old filter with a new one. Refit everything you removed earlier, and you are done.
