In this video, we can see how to reset the maintenance light on a Smart 451: you need to turn on the instrument panel after closing the doors. Then select the maintenance indicator - within the first four seconds - by pressing the trip reset button located at the base of the display on the instrument panel.

Within ten seconds, turn off the instrument panel, then press and hold the trip reset button. Turn the instrument panel back on and wait for ten seconds, then release the button when the "0" appears on the odometer display.

Turn off the instrument panel; service reset.
