How to install the rear camera of the Smart Fortwo

To install the rearview camera in the Smart Fortwo, we start by making the connections behind the radio by installing the video connections of the rearview camera; once the connections are made, we run the cables in the upper interior part of the vehicle, then from behind we bring them down to reach the rear, connecting the positive cable to the reverse of the car so that it turns on when the reverse gear is engaged, then we position the rearview camera in the desired location near the rear license plate, we run the cables from the license plate light inside, passing it through the connection between the trunk lid and the inside of the trunk. Once the rearview camera is positioned, connected to the reverse gear and connected to the infotainment system, we turn on the instrument panel, engage the reverse gear and check the correct operation of the rearview camera with the turning lines.
