This guide provides the main instructions on how to remove and replace the front door panel of the Smart Fortwo. First, open the front door of the vehicle and begin to remove the window handle if present, by removing the clip; then unscrew the screws of the panel to detach and remove it, disconnecting the handle cable as shown in the video.

At this point, you will have access to the internal components of the door, as well as the window mechanism and central locking; finally, refit the front door panel!
