How to change the remote battery on a Subaru Outback

This article explains the procedure for replacing the remote battery on a Subaru Outback. You will need a CR2032 battery and a flathead screwdriver. To replace the battery, first remove the emergency key using the button located on the back of the key; press the button and pull the emergency key out. After removing the emergency key, insert the screwdriver into the bottom of the key, apply slight pressure to lift the cover, and once lifted, remove the circuit with the battery. Then, using the screwdriver, remove the battery, replace it with the new one, reinsert the circuit back into the remote, and close it by pressing down with your hand. Finally, reinsert the emergency key into its slot.
