How to Reset the Tyre Pressure on a Subaru Vehicle

The first thing to know is that if you own a Subaru manufactured from 2007/2008 onwards, the physical reset button for the TPMS is no longer present: it can only be found on some Outback and Legacy models. The method described in the video is the dynamic reset: check and adjust the pressure, comparing it with the label found on the driver's side pillar. Then drive for 15/20 minutes at speeds above 25 mph. Turn off and restart the vehicle: the warning light should be gone. Another method described in the video is to inflate the tyres slightly above the recommended value: drive for 5/10 minutes, then deflate all tyres to the correct value, and drive for another 5/10 minutes. This way, the system detects the change and recalibrates. It is advised against disconnecting the battery, as this resets the clock and radio but not the TPMS: the sensor data is stored in non-volatile memory, which may lead to further errors.
