Replacing the Right Wing Mirror on a Subaru Forester

Model: Subaru Forester MK 4, SJ - Years 2012-2019

Using a small flat screwdriver or any pointed tool, pry off the plastic covering beneath the cap at the joint line with the rest of the mirror. At this point, you can also remove the main plate by simply pulling it off with your hands. Now you can see how the plastic clips are formed: to fit the new plastic cap, insert these clips into the supporting structure by pressing with your hands. If you need to replace the mirror itself, it detaches by prying from above (or below) and disconnecting any connectors.
