To replace the cabin filter on a Subaru Forester, open the glove compartment located on the passenger side and detach its retaining pins. This allows the entire compartment to be removed from its housing, providing access to its components at the back. Here, you can slide out the cabin filter from its housing and replace it with a new one. Once the new filter is inserted, refit the previously removed glove compartment.
