To remove the radio from a Subaru Ascent, use a tool like a screwdriver to pry off the two air vents located on either side of the radio. Once these are removed, you can unscrew the screws underneath that secure the radio in its housing. After these screws are removed, detach the control panel above the radio so that it can be pulled out and the connectors at the back disconnected. After removal, connect the new device, installing it along with all the removed components.
