Today, let's see how to perform the routine maintenance service by replacing the engine oil and oil filter in the Subaru Ascent. First, lift the vehicle and start draining the oil by removing the drain plug located on the oil pan, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes; then remove and replace the oil filter cartridge located in the engine compartment, as shown in the video.

At this point, remove the fill cap and top off with new oil, checking the oil level with the dipstick!
