Subaru Forester - Video tutorial
Model: Subaru Forester
MK 1, SF
- Years 1997-2002 In this video we will see how to do a basic do-it-yourself maintenance on a Subaru Forester first model. As regards the replacement of the engine oil and the filter, it will be necessary to have a large basin and place it under the oil tank in order to collect the old oil, as it will be necessary to previously unscrew the bolt of the tank, then it will be necessary to unhook with the oil filter with a screwdriver and replace it with a new one, finally in the bonnet it will be sufficient to unscrew the oil cap and pour in the new oil. As far as the air filter is concerned, simply unhook the supports of the same in the bonnet, remove it and replace it with a new one or clean it with a brush or compressed air. Finally, the video also shows how to reinforce the license plate screws or how to simply replace the wipers now corroded by time.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
