Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Subaru Legacy BM, MK 5, BR - Years 2009-2014

Position the vehicle on a lift and remove the plastic cover under the engine. Unscrew the drain plug located at the centre of the oil sump and collect the used oil in a suitable container. Once the drainage is complete, screw and tighten the plug back in. Next, replace the oil filter located between the exhaust manifolds: apply oil to the gasket of the new filter before screwing it in. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the quantities and SAE specifications listed in the owner's manual.
