This guide shows how to replace the battery of the Suzuki Vitara LY (Mk4). The first step is to secure the vehicle and open the bonnet; the battery is located on the right side of the compartment. Using a 10mm spanner, first unscrew the negative terminal and electrically isolate it to prevent contact with other metal components. Disconnect the positive terminal after lifting the plastic cover. Using a 12mm spanner, unscrew the battery anchoring bolt and remove the securing plate. Remove the battery and install a new one according to the manufacturer's specifications. Refit the securing block and the electrical terminals.
