Replacing the gear knob is undoubtedly one of the simplest maintenance tasks, and you can easily do it yourself. Just follow the instructions below. First, ensure the car is parked safely and completely turned off. Then, insert the car key or a similar object (like a flat screwdriver, etc.) into the slot located about halfway up the leather cover. Apply upward pressure and remove the knob. At this point, simply fit the new knob by pushing down slightly to secure it properly.
