How to Change the Front Brake Discs and Pads on a Suzuki SX4

To replace the brake discs and pads on a Suzuki SX4, first raise the car on the right side, turn the steering wheel to the right, and remove the wheel by unscrewing the bolts with a 13mm socket and a 15mm spanner. Hold the brake caliper up with a hook while unscrewing the two bolts, then remove the brake pads using a flat screwdriver. Use a 17mm socket to remove the two bolts securing the pad bracket to the disc. Position a cross screwdriver in the disc screws and tap it to loosen the screws, then unscrew them. Tap the hub of the disc with a hammer, insert a bolt into the disc (in a hole without screws) to push it out, and clean the hub with a wire brush. Now take the new brake disc, position it on the hub, and screw in the screws with a cross screwdriver. Reposition the pad bracket and secure it by hand-tightening the bolts, then use a 17mm socket. Fit the new pads with the friction material facing the disc, and use a tool to retract the caliper piston. Reattach the caliper to the plate and secure it by hand-tightening the bolts, then use a 13mm socket on the bolt and a 15mm spanner on the central nut. Finally, replace the wheels and straighten the steering wheel, reattach the wheel, tighten the bolts, and lower the car. Repeat the same procedure on the left side, but turn the steering wheel to the left for that side.
