Front Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Suzuki Sx4 GY, MK 1, EY, RW - Years 2006-2014

Replacing the front shock absorbers requires the use of specific clamps to compress the springs and separate them from the damper. Start by lifting the vehicle on a ramp and removing the front wheel. Disconnect the cable pass-throughs from the shock absorber brackets and then the drop link. Next, remove the bolts that secure the shock absorber to the hub support, then lower the vehicle and access the engine bay. Remove the wiper arms and the plastic cover panel beneath the windscreen to access the shock absorber mounts. Remove the mount and extract the shock absorber from its housing. Apply the clamps to compress the spring and remove the mount from the shaft. Fit the boot and spring to the new shock absorber, then secure the mount to the shaft and proceed with the installation in reverse order.
