How to Change the Oil on a Sym Joymax

Want to change the oil on the Sym Joymax 250 scooter? Let's see how to remove the oil filter and change the oil itself. Secure the scooter on the centre stand and begin by removing the air filter.

Unscrew the locking bolt of the container where the oil is stored. Allow the oil to drain into a container.

Once drained, you can screw the oil bolt back in. Remove the oil filter with a strap wrench if it is a large filter, otherwise use a socket wrench if it is a mesh filter. Replace all filters.

Top up with the new oil recommended by the manufacturer.
