In order to replace the Sym MaxSym TL500 variator, it is necessary to loosen the casing located on the right side of the bike, immediately behind the footrest: when the screws that fix the casing have been loosened and this has been removed, it will be possible to have access to the underlying components. By loosening the central nut that fixes the variator and moving its belt, it will be possible to replace the piece with a new one, which must be suitably fixed by re-inserting the nut on its central pin. Finally, it will be possible to close everything again verifying that the transmission is working.

Below we will illustrate the steps on how to replace the engine oil and oil filter of the Keeway Cafe Racer 152. First of all we put our motorcycle on the central stand and start warming up the engine for a few minutes; then unscrew the oil vent bolt that we find under the engine, letting it drain into a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the screws of the oil filter cover, removing and replacing the cartridge with the new one; finally unscrew the filler cap and top up with the new engine oil, of the right type.
