In order to replace the variator of the Sym MaxSym TL500, you need to loosen the screws that secure the transmission cover: this cover will be located on the left side of the motorcycle, near the side footrest. Once the screws securing the cover have been loosened, you can proceed by locating the variator underneath: by loosening the central nut that secures it and removing the corresponding belt, you can extract it from its housing and insert the new one. This can then be secured by repositioning the belt and ensuring that everything is functioning properly.
