How do you reset the automatic transmission of the Toyota Yaris?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the Toyota Yaris, you need to turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the ignition switch: once the panel is turned on, you can use an object to pry off the small cover located in the upper right of the gear selector. Once this cover is removed, you can press the lever underneath so that the selector can be moved; this will unlock the transmission and allow you to move the selector.
