Are the struts on your Toyota Prius faulty? Follow these steps to replace the struts on the tailgate. Lift the tailgate and secure it. Use a screwdriver to remove the securing clips at both ends of the strut. Detach the worn strut and compare it with the new strut (if they are the same, you can install it). Fit the new part into the two locking positions. Secure the strut with the metal clips. Repeat the same process for the removal/installation of the opposite strut. Test the functionality of the installed struts.
