Video tutorial

In this very useful tutorial today, we can see how to open the hood of a Toyota Aygo, second generation model produced from 2014 until 2023. First, we need to open the driver's side door and pull the hood release lever located under the dashboard on the left as shown in the video, then we put a hand between the hood and the bumper to feel for the safety latch and, once found, push it and simultaneously lift the hood and then secure it with the rod positioned to our right.

How to Activate the Disabled TRC on the Toyota Yaris?

As the video clearly shows, disabling or activating the traction control (TRC or ESP) on the Toyota Yaris is very simple. By default, the traction system activates every time the vehicle is started. To disable it, simply press the button depicting a skidding car located in the centre of the vehicle where the controls are, such as the hazard lights and the radio, but near the handbrake. Once disabled, the TRC off light will illuminate on the dashboard. To reactivate it, just press the same button again.
