Function of the controls on the Toyota Yaris Cross

Let's see how the controls on the Toyota Yaris Cross work: unlock the car with keyless entry by touching the handle or using the remote. Enter and press the Power button with your foot on the brake until "Ready" appears.

Use the controls on the left of the steering wheel to scroll through the menu on the 7" screen. Press and hold the centre button to access the vehicle and dashboard settings.

You can adjust the brightness, language, and instrumentation between analogue and digital, and activate the automatic high beams with the button. For automatic lights, dipped beams, fog lights, and rear fog lights, turn the dial.

Use the wiper control on the right of the steering wheel in "auto" position. For automatic climate control, just set the temperature and select the "auto" position.

Use the 9" touch screen for navigation, audio, Apple CarPlay, or Android Auto (wireless) by pairing your Bluetooth device. Below the climate control, there is a USB port.

When reversing, the rear camera activates. The gearbox is automatic, and press it to unlock P, R, N, D. The electric handbrake engages in P and disengages when you select a gear.

Press the Drive Mode button to choose Eco, Normal, or Power. The button in the centre disables traction control.

For 4WD versions, press the button to select Normal, Snow, or Trail. Activate the DAC (downhill assist control) by pressing the button, and the green symbol will flash.

Turn everything off and start driving.
