Let's see how to replace the remote battery on a Toyota Yaris Cross: extract the emergency key by pulling out the key blade. Now a small gap has formed on one side of the remote; insert the flat key tip into the gap and lever it by turning the key: the remote will open in two halves. Inside, you will see the battery to be replaced, a CR2450, which can be easily found at any supermarket or electronics store. Remove the old battery using a thin screwdriver, insert the new battery paying attention to the polarity, and close the two halves of the remote. Insert the key back into its housing and the job is done.
