How to Start a Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid with a Flat 12V Battery

In this video, we will see how to proceed if the 12V battery of your Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid is flat: this vehicle does not have a traditional starter motor and does not start with jumper cables; the 12V battery powers only the computers, control units, and hybrid control systems; without this voltage, the vehicle is dead, even if the high-voltage hybrid battery is charged. Ensure you have the car keys in your pocket or leave a door open; you will need jumper cables, a donor vehicle (or a jump starter/power bank). Open the bonnet: inside the fuse box, locate the positive terminal (red) and connect the other red clamp to the donor vehicle's battery; then connect the black cable to the negative terminal of the donor vehicle's battery and the other end to a clean, unpainted metal ground point. Start the donor vehicle for 2 minutes, then start the Yaris Cross. Remove the cables in reverse order. Do not turn off the Yaris for at least 20-30 minutes.
