How to Start the Auxiliary Battery (12V) of a Toyota Yaris Cross

Learn how to start a Toyota Yaris Cross that may be stationary due to the auxiliary battery (the standard 12V battery). This battery is located in the boot, and for an emergency start, you need to use the terminals in the engine bay. The positive terminal is a red plastic connector with the symbol "+" and is found on a specific terminal, usually in front of the driver, and is clearly visible. The negative terminal (-) is an unpainted metal grounding point on the chassis or engine. Turn off all electrical loads, position the rescue vehicle close to the bonnet of the Yaris, and connect the cables starting with the red one (rescue vehicle/Yaris). Start the engine of the rescue vehicle and let it run for a few minutes; try to start the Yaris, and if it starts, disconnect the cables starting with the black ones (Yaris/rescue vehicle). If using a battery charger, the procedure is the same.
