This component is the main cause of the P0500 error, which indicates the malfunction of the vehicle's speed sensor, and provides information on the vehicle's speed to the speedometer, regulates the engine power to prevent wheel slippage, helps to maintain control of the vehicle in turns, manages gear changes based on speed for vehicles with automatic transmission, and regulates speed for the cruise control function. The causes of the error are attributable to: damaged wiring, dirty or damaged sensor, faulty control module (this case is rather rare).
