How to connect your smartphone to the Toyota Yaris Cross

Let's see how to connect our smartphone to the on-board computer of the Toyota Yaris Cross via AppleCarPlay or AndroidAuto. For the connection via bluetooth, just click on the multimedia screen, on the phone symbol, then bluetooth settings, and look for the same setting on our smartphone and proceed with pairing both through the vehicle and with the AppleCarPlay phone; this way we can see the screen of our phone, mirrored on that of the car. If we want to exit this mirroring function, just click on the car brand symbol; by clicking the first button at the top we can easily re-enter. To make the connection with AndroidAuto we will need the cable, following the same procedure. In the main display we see the different functionalities: navigator, audio, phone, car - from which we see the vehicle's power flow - and settings. At the bottom of the gear shift we have several buttons, which keep the brake engaged when the gear lever is in "D", useful in traffic to avoid keeping your foot on the brake; there are also various driving modes and the deactivation of traction control in case of snow and mud. Through the EV button you can decide whether the vehicle travels completely in electric mode, if the hybrid battery is sufficiently charged to do so.
