How to Start a Toyota Yaris Hybrid with a Flat Battery

Starting a Toyota Yaris Hybrid with a flat battery is simple, but different from a traditional car. You do not need to look for the 12-volt battery under the rear seat. Toyota technicians have designed a dedicated connection point under the bonnet for this situation. Park the second car close to the Yaris, ensuring the two vehicles do not touch. Open the bonnet of the Yaris Hybrid and locate the fuse box (on the right side). Lift the plastic cover and underneath you will find the positive terminal, exclusive for emergency starting. Connect the positive cable to the Yaris and positive on the donor vehicle, then the negative cable to the donor and the negative of the Yaris to an unpainted earth point: usually, a bolt is left for this purpose. Start the donor vehicle, then your Yaris and keep the engine running. Disconnect the cables in reverse order.
