If you have a worn gear knob and want to replace it, here’s how to do it. Unscrew the worn knob from the top of the gear stick (if you have difficulty, use a large pair of pliers). Unscrew the knob from the entire thread of the gear stick.

Replace the leather gaiter if damaged (remove the plastic trim located above the tunnel). Take the new knob and screw it onto the thread on the stick until it is secure.

Ensure the gear numbers (if present) are visible and aligned. Check that all parts are fitted perfectly.
