Removing the Gear Knob

Removing the gear knob is a straightforward task but must be done gently. Obtain the new knob and proceed with the replacement. With considerable force horizontally, grip the knob firmly with one hand and slowly rotate it counterclockwise. After the initial effort, unscrew the knob completely until it is fully removed. This operation requires several turns. To fit the new knob, insert the cover ring, then proceed in reverse order, ensuring to tighten it fully and screw in the retaining Allen screws, then screw on the ring.
