Replacing the Radiator Fluid in a Toyota Yaris 1st Generation

To replace the radiator fluid in your Toyota Yaris, start by running the engine for a few minutes; this operation is more efficient with a warm engine. First, position some absorbent material under the radiator, as there may be fluid leaks during the initial phase. Using gloves, unscrew the aluminium pressure cap located on top of the radiator, followed by the plastic cap of the expansion tank. From underneath the car, unscrew the tap under the radiator, ensuring the fluid drains into a container. To ensure all fluid is removed, you can use a tube connected to a pump to suck the fluid from the tank. You can perform multiple flushes with demineralised water. Close all caps, and now you can top up the new fluid in the tank, and after a few hours, proceed with a small top-up until you reach the level indicated on the tank.
