To remove the CV joint from a UAZ Patriot, lift the vehicle so that the wheel corresponding to the joint being replaced is not in contact with the ground. This will allow you to unscrew the bolts securing the wheel to the hub, completely removing it. The hub itself will then need to be moved by loosening the bolts that secure it to the axle. This way, the joint can be removed from its position and replaced with a new part; after replacement, install the new joint and reassemble all previously removed components.
