When a warning light comes on or there is an issue with a control unit, you often hear about the CAN BUS (Controller Area Network): this is a communication protocol used by the car's control units to communicate with each other and recognise themselves through two lines (Can H and Can L); to avoid interference, these two lines are twisted together: therefore, when observing a wiring harness, the twisted pairs of wires are those of the Can line.

That said, whenever you replace a control unit or an accessory such as the radio, it is necessary to perform the proxy alignment, which is the procedure for updating the new configuration of the network.
