As the YouTuber tells us, using an additive for injectors, which is used to dissolve and remove deposits that form here, can be counterproductive if the diesel filter is not changed. This is because if the diesel filter is already very dirty, the mobilization of these deposits by the additive could lead to a faster clogging of the filter. So if we are not sure when the filter was last changed, or we know it is old, it is good practice to replace the diesel filter before using the injector additive. This way, we will avoid the risk that the deposits mobilized by the additive will clog an already compromised filter.
