In this video, we will see how to determine exactly when to recharge the car's air conditioner, without relying solely on personal feelings, but on factual data. Let's start by looking at the technical diagram that the engineer who made the video shows us: we know that the refrigerant absorbs the heat from the cabin through the evaporator and releases it outside through the condenser. In the latter, the refrigerant releases the heat absorbed from the cabin to the outside environment. If the temperature and humidity outside are very high, the refrigerant will have a harder time releasing the absorbed heat, and therefore cooling the cabin. So the external conditions of the vehicle influence the performance of the air conditioner, and therefore these should be taken into consideration if we think that the air conditioner is not efficient enough and we are thinking of recharging it: we would be wasting our money. Furthermore, consider that in electric cars, the air conditioner has become a fundamental element for the proper functioning of the traction battery.
