How to disassemble the fairing of the mirror on a Hymer camper

Model: (Various brands) Hymer
Part: Side mirror

In this video, we will see how to disassemble the fairings of the vibrating rearview mirror of Hymer campers. First, we will need to remove the upper fairing. Covered by two black rubber caps, we will find crosshead screws that, once removed, will allow us to take off this small fairing; let's take the opportunity to check that all the screws inside are tightly closed and that the vibration does not come from there. Below, there is the joint, which could be moving too much and therefore vibrating, and to reach it we must disassemble the upper mirror, lifting it all the way up; underneath, we will find a lever that will allow us to detach the glass/mirror from its support. The lower mirror instead just needs to be pulled towards us, but in a very straight manner. Now we need to remove the cover, unscrewing all the screws around it, in order to access the central pin, which allows us to open and close the mirror. We can tighten it a little, to eliminate the play that we see it is currently doing, and which is the reason why it vibrates.

How to Replace the Lift Supports on a Porsche 911

How to remove and replace the lift supports for the hood on a Porsche 911? Let's see how to replace them in this video: Lift the hood and secure it. Use a screwdriver or metal lever to detach the clips that hold the lift support at both ends (or unscrew the mounting pins). Install the new part onto the sheet metal of the front trunk, securing the lift support with the clips/pins. Proceed in the same manner for the removal/installation of the opposite lift support. Finally, test the gas springs installed earlier.
