In this video, we see an effective procedure for older cars to solve ABS problems. This system works thanks to sensors that read the speed of each wheel, and are positioned very close to a toothed ring mounted on the wheel hub or semi-axle. The sensor does not touch the ring, but detects the passage of each tooth creating an electrical signal. The ABS control unit uses these signals to calculate the wheel speed and prevent brake lock-up. When the dashboard light comes on, the sensor is almost never broken, but only dirty: the brakes produce a fine dust, mixed with moisture and oil that accumulates on the toothed ring of the sensor; furthermore, the ring - which is made of metal - can rust due to moisture and dirt. So we remove the wheel, remove the brake disc, clean the toothed ring, check that no teeth are broken or deformed, and reassemble everything.

How to reset the tyre pressure warning light on the Suzuki Jimny?

To reset the tyre pressure warning light on the Suzuki Jimny, first inflate the tyres to the pressure value indicated on the corresponding sticker: this is located at the bottom of the driver's door pillar. Once the tyres are inflated, insert the ignition key and turn on the instrument panel: select the screen that indicates the tyre pressures, checking that the values change. After a few seconds, the tyre pressure warning light will automatically turn off.
