Keeping the tires inflated to the correct pressure is extremely important, both for safety—since the tires are our contact with the road—and for fuel consumption and tire wear. A deflated tire will cause us to consume more fuel than necessary, in addition to wearing unevenly on the sides of the tread.

A tire that is over-inflated will be less safe during braking and will wear more in the center.
