To determine which tire is most suitable for our commercial vehicle, we need to look for the load index, which must be 120 or higher (thus supporting over 1360 kg per tire; the load category is "E" or a number followed by "ply". For example, "10 ply" means 10 plies: they therefore have reinforced sidewalls that resist flexing under load. It is essential to establish the resistance to heat and deformation during long trips and when towing. If transporting heavy loads continuously, it is advisable to avoid Landstar CLX10 Rangelander A/T, which have weak sidewalls and stability issues; Hankook Dynapro AT2, which have sidewalls that are too flexible; and Yokohama Geolander A/T G015, which is unstable under heavy loads. Instead, BF Goodrich HD Terrain T/A KT is recommended as it is the best in class for commercial construction; Cooper Discoverer AT3 XTL offers an excellent balance between durability, stability, and comfort; Toyo Open Country AT3 is balanced for work and everyday use; BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 provides maximum resistance and is excellent for uneven terrain; Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac is excellent for towing and off-road use, but noisy on asphalt. As a general rule, we always choose tires with the "E" or "LT" (light truck) marking.
