How to Clean the Car's Cooling Circuit

The air cooling circuit should be cleaned every 50,000 to 100,000 miles or every 2 to 5 years (whichever comes first); it removes dirt, rust, and sediment that clog the system, prevents engine overheating, and maintains engine efficiency. To drain it, the engine must be cold. Drain the coolant from the radiator drain plug; add a specific cleaner for cooling circuits, start the engine, and let it run for the time indicated by the product. Then turn off the engine and drain the cleaner. Rinse with clean water until it runs clear, then fill with new coolant (type and brand recommended by the manufacturer), start the engine, and check that the temperature remains normal.
